Lost every Infiniti key?
With every key gone, we cut the emergency blade from the VIN key code, get the security PIN the car demands before it opens key registration, and register a new Intelligent Key at the car. Add $60: a Q50 or QX60 with no key left comes to $339, and a G35 chip key to $205.
On most Infinitis, registration clears any key not present when the new one goes in. On a lost-keys job that works in your favor, because the missing fob is locked out as part of the process at no extra charge.
What the dealer charges, and why
Infiniti dealers typically quote about $560 for an Intelligent Key with programming and about $270 for an older chip key, before tax. If the car has no working key, towing it there runs $125 to $200, and an ordered fob means a wait of one to three days.
We buy fobs direct, cut blades in the van and program on site, so no showroom cost sits in our price. A written dealer quote is welcome on our beat my dealer quote page.
Two things we say on the phone first
Bring every Infiniti key you still have to the appointment, including the spare in the kitchen drawer you think is dead. Because registration on most models wipes any key not present, a spare left at home will likely stop working once we program the new one, and we would rather register it now than have you call us back for it.
