What the forms collect
The contact and dealer quote forms ask for your name, mobile number, the year, make and model of the car, whether a key still works, where the car is, and any notes, which may include a VIN. The quote form also asks for the dealer's figure and dealership. We use it to price your key, reach you about the job, and keep a record for the one-year warranty.
Calls and text messages
When you call or text (619) 340-1518, our phone service keeps your number, the time, and the text messages themselves. We text you about your quote and your job only, and your number does not go on a marketing list.
Calls may be recorded to confirm the quote we gave and to check our work. California law requires that everyone on a call be told before it is recorded, so when recording is on, the line announces it at the start of the call. If you prefer not to be recorded, text us instead.
Analytics
If analytics are switched on for this site, they record which pages are visited, the type of device, and roughly which area a visit comes from. The tool is either Google Analytics, which sets cookies, or Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not.
The numbers are read in aggregate to see which pages help people, and they are not tied to your name or phone number. Blocking analytics cookies in your browser takes nothing away from the site.
We do not sell your information
Your information is never sold, rented or traded, and it is not shared for advertising. It passes only to the services that run the business, such as the phone and text provider, the form handler and the card processor, and only as far as each one needs it to do its part.
Seeing or deleting your record
To see or delete what we hold about you, email hello@valuecarkeys.com or text (619) 340-1518 with the name and phone number used for the job. We remove it and confirm by reply. Anything the law requires us to keep for tax or payment records stays, and we tell you what that is.
